May 5, 2018 – Regina – Bird ID and Atlas Basics Workshop (reservation required)

When: Saturday, May 5, 10:00am – 4:00pm
Where: University of Regina campus
What to bring: Lunch, binoculars and bird field guide, weather appropriate clothing

Join the SK Breeding Bird Atlas Team for an introductory workshop on the basics of bird identification and using your birding skills to contribute sightings to the Atlas. You will learn the tools and techniques needed to identify birds and will learn how to make your observations valuable for conservation in Saskatchewan. Weather permitting, we expect to take a short walk to practice collecting checklists for the Atlas, so please dress for the elements and bring along your binoculars and bird identification field guide as well as a lunch

May 12, 2018 – Last Mountain Regional Park – Nature Saskatchewan’s Migratory Bird Day Celebration (reservation required)

When: Saturday, May 12, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Where: Last Mountain Regional Park – Last Mountain Bird Observatory

Join us as we celebrate the return of our migratory birds at the Last Mountain Bird Observatory on May 12th (8am-4pm). There will be plenty of activities for the whole family and a free BBQ. Free bus will be leaving from Regina and RSVP is required.
